GRANTS GIVE FITNESS CENTER BOOST
WHEATLAND (IOWA) Calamus-Wheatland Hometown Pride is the recipient of a $250 Aureon grant and a $250 match from F&B Communications.
Grant funds will be used to create a 24/7 community indoor fitness space in Calamus at the City Hall.
F&B Communications, the local telecommunications provider in Calamus and Wheatland, is one of more than 100 Iowa independent telephone company member-owners of Aureon Network Services, which helps to provide advanced telecommunications and data services across the state.
Nearly $42,200 has been awarded to organizations in the F&B Communications service area since the charity grant program began more than 25 years ago.
The charity grant program is open to non-profit organizations in the F&B Communications service area. Grant applications are availableĀ online. Charity grants are awarded on a quarterly basis and chosen by an independent review committee organized by Aureon.
F&B Communications is the premiere local telecommunications provider offering telephone, long distance, Absolute Cable TV video, high-speed fiber Internet, and home security services to customers in the Bennett, Calamus, Delmar, Lowden and Wheatland exchanges and surrounding areas. The company also provides computer sales and service through their Technology Solutions retail division.
