F&B DELIVERS THE FUTURE OF BROADBAND WITH MULTI-GIG INTERNET

WHEATLAND (IOWA) F&B Communications, the Internet provider in eastern Cedar and western Clinton counties has launched a multi-gig broadband Internet offering with symmetrical speeds. Leveraging the strength of F&B’s robust fiber optic network, the new service plan delivers speeds up to two gigabits per second to residential customers and 10 gigabits per second to business customers.

As homes increasingly have more people working and learning remotely along with additional online devices like TVs, gaming consoles, cameras, smart light bulbs and connected thermostats, the need for more bandwidth is growing. The new offering combined with F&B’s carrier-grade managed Wi-Fi solution helps future-proof the home.

Households in F&B’s service area of Bennett, Big Rock, Calamus, Delmar, Lowden, Massillon, New Liberty, Toronto, Wheatland and surrounding rural areas may now choose the new Home Pro Plus 2 Gig plan in addition to existing service plans.

“Multi-gig service is perfect for power users who have multiple devices and want to create the ultimate buffer-free connected home with extreme speed for remote work, online gaming, virtual reality and video streaming,” said Aaron Horman, general manager of F&B.

Following the 2023 completion of the company’s 100-percent fiber-to-the-premise network, the multi-gig offering is the company’s second phase of 2024 enhancement efforts to increase capacity and redundancy of the core network.

“Having access to fast and reliable broadband is key for economic growth and expanding digital literacy in the rural communities we serve,” said Horman. “F&B has a long history of operating a first-class network supported by a local customer care team that rivals and often exceeds that of regional and national service providers in larger communities.”

F&B Communications is the premiere local telecommunications provider offering telephone, long distance, Absolute Cable TV video, high-speed fiber Internet, and home security services to customers in the Bennett, Calamus, Delmar, Lowden and Wheatland exchanges and surrounding areas. The company also provides computer sales and service through their Technology Solutions retail division.
