LITTLE LEAGUE SCORES GRANT
The Calamus-Wheatland Little League Association is the recipient of a $1,000 Iowa Network Services (INS) Charity Grant, plus a $1,000 matching contribution from F&B Communications. The grant funds will be used by the youthball group to help fund the construction of a new concession stand and restrooms.
F&B Communications, the local telecommunications provider in Calamus and Wheatland, is one of 127 Iowa independent telephone
company member-owners of INS, which helps to provide advanced telecommunications
and data services across the state.
“We are proud to support a project and an organization that does so much for the youth of our community,” said Ken Laursen, F&B general manager.
Since the charity grant program was established in 1992, more than $16,000
has been awarded to organizations in the F&B Communications
The charity grant program is open to non-profit organizations in
the F&B Communications service area. Grant applications are
available at the business office in Wheatland. Charity grants are
awarded on a quarterly basis.
F&B Communications is the premiere local telecommunications provider offering telephone, long distance, digital video, dial-up Internet, high-speed DSL Internet, satellite Internet, wireless PCS and home security services to customers in the Bennett, Calamus, Delmar, Lowden and Wheatland exchanges and surrounding areas.
