OUR LADY OF THE PRAIRIE RETREAT AWARDED CHARITY GRANT
Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat, rural Wheatland, is the recipient
of a $100 Iowa Network Services (INS) Charity Grant, plus a $100
matching contribution from F&B Communications, the local telecommunications
provider in Wheatland.
The grant funds will be used by the Retreat to help purchase a golf
cart to transport guests around the 200-acre grounds, which include
meeting rooms, overnight accommodations, extensive walking paths,
a labyrinth and pond area.
“The golf cart will allow the Retreat to accommodate the needs
of older adults, disabled persons and those with health issues,”
said Ken Laursen, F&B Communications general manager. “We
are proud to support a local organization by contributing to this

company member-owners of INS, which helps to provide advanced telecommunications
and data services across the state. INS established the grant program
to bring INS closer to its member companies and customers.
Since the grant program was established in 1992, more than $10,000
has been awarded to organizations in the F&B Communications
The charity grant program is open to non-profit organizations in
the F&B Communications service area. Grant applications are
available at the business office in Wheatland. Charity grants are
awarded on a quarterly basis.
F&B Communications is the local telecommunications provider
offering telephone, cable television, digital broadcast satellite,
dial-up Internet, high-speed DSL Internet and wireless PCS services
to customers in the Bennett, Calamus, Delmar, Lowden and Wheatland
exchanges and surrounding areas. To learn more about F&B Communications,

The mission of Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat is to provide hospitality
