DELMAR SENIOR JOVON EBERHART AWARDED SCHOLARSHIP
Jovon Eberhart, a senior at Maquoketa High School, has been named
this year’s local F&B Communications $500 scholarship
Eberhart plans to attend Drake University, Des Moines, in the fall
to pursue a degree in pharmacy.
Eberhart is an outstanding student and exemplifies the characteristics
of the F&B Communications scholarship with her school and community
involvement and academic achievements, said Ken Laursen, general

submitted an application form and three finalists were selected
for in-person interviews.

A primary goal of the scholarship is to ensure that our community’s
children have the privilege of attending college and encourage young

essay, Eberhart wrote of her intentions of returning to eastern
Iowa. She also expressed an interest in becoming a community leader
with a strong desire to promote affordable health care services
and medication for people with limited incomes.
The local F&B scholarship was started in 2003 because the Board
of Directors and employees of F&B are committed to the education
of local youth and believe learning is a lifelong process.
Eberhart’s parents Joseph and Da Vonne subscribe to F&B
telephone service in the Delmar exchange.
