CALAMUS LITTLE LEAGUE SCORES WITH CHARITY, MATCHING GRANT
Calamus Little League Association is the recipient of a $300 Iowa
Network Services (INS) Charity Grant, plus a $300 matching contribution
from F&B Communications, the local telecommunications provider
The grant funds will be used by the Little League to go toward the
purchase of a chain link fence for the softball diamond and other
facility improvements, including lights for the baseball diamond.
“With more than 100 scheduled games each summer, the facilities
are a vital part of the summer recreation opportunities for youth
in the Calamus and Wheatland areas,” said Aaron Horman, F&B
Communications marketing manager. “We are proud to support
F&B Communications is one of 127 Iowa independent telephone
company member-owners of INS, which helps to provide advanced telecommunications
and data services across the state. INS established the grant program
to bring INS closer to its member companies and customers.
Since the grant program was established in 1992, more than $11,000
has been awarded to organizations in the F&B Communications
The charity grant program is open to non-profit organizations in
the F&B Communications service area. Grant applications are
available at the business office in Wheatland. Charity grants are
awarded on a quarterly basis.
