BENNETT AMBULANCE RECEIVES CHARITY GRANT, MATCHING FUNDS

WHEATLAND (IOWA) Bennett Ambulance Service is the recipient of a $1,000 Iowa Network Services (INS) Charity Grant, plus a $1,000 matching contribution from F&B Communications, the local telephone company in Bennett.

The grant funds will be used by the Bennett Ambulance Service to purchase a new adult CPR "Annie", which will be used for training local emergency volunteers.

"The matching grant from F&B is a way of saying thanks to our customers for taking our services," said Ken Laursen, F&B Communications general manager. "We are very proud of our communities and we want to show our support for projects that benefit the community."

F&B Communications is one of 156 Iowa independent telephone company member-owners of INS, which helps to provide advanced telecommunications and data services. INS established the grant program to bring INS closer to its member companies and customers.

"INS was created to provide quality telecommunications in these communities," said INS President Richard M. Vohs. "The Charity Grant Program is a way INS can help meet community needs."

F&B Communications is the local telecommunications provider offering telephone, cable television, digital broadcast satellite, dial-up Internet, high-speed DSL Internet and wireless PCS services to customers in the Bennett, Calamus, Delmar, Lowden and Wheatland exchanges.

The charity grant program is open to non-profit organizations in the F&B Communications service area. Grant applications are available at the business office in Wheatland.
