WHEATLAND COMMUNITY HALL RECEIVES GRANTS
WHEATLAND (IOWA) Wheatland Community Hall is the recipient of a $500 Iowa Network Services (INS) Charity Grant, plus a $500 matching contribution from F&B Communications.
Grant funds will be used by the group to construct handicapped accessible restrooms at the Community Hall. The upper level women’s restroom is being expanded and a men’s restroom is being added. Both will be handicapped accessible. The lower level men’s restroom will also see improvements.
F&B, the local telecommunications provider in Wheatland, is one of nearly 120 Iowa independent telephone company member-owners of INS, which helps to provide advanced telecommunications and data services across the state.
Nearly $23,000 has been awarded to organizations in the F&B Communications service area in the last 20 years since the charity grant program began.
The charity grant program is open to non-profit organizations in the F&B Communications service area. Grant applications are available at the business office in Wheatland. Charity grants are awarded on a quarterly basis and chosen by an independent review committee organized by INS.
